If I have a spray tan and get a tattoo will it mess up the tattoo? or will it look normal once it heals?

I am going on a weekend getaway and am getting a spray tan done and I was wondering if it would affect anything if I got a tattoo... I don't want to get a tat on top of it and then it turn out horrible when it heals and the tan fades...please answer! If I have a spray tan and get a tattoo will it mess up the tattoo? or will it look normal once it heals?
The tattoo will heal fine, just dont spray tan for awhile. I self-tan and my tats have healed fine. I just dont tan for a week or two after getting the tat.If I have a spray tan and get a tattoo will it mess up the tattoo? or will it look normal once it heals?
well, it wouldn't mess it up. as long as you dont get the tatoo like, the hour after you have your tan. wait atleast like 3 days

it shouldnt affect it
it will be fine. just don't get another spray tan until your tattoo is healed.
should be fine
i would lay off spray tans until your tattoo heals.

  • Can I moisturize my legs after a spray tan?

I had a spray tan last night and have had a shower this morning. I need to know whether I can use this nice veet moisturizer stuff because my legs aren't so soft, help please?

xCan I moisturize my legs after a spray tan?
yes. you should. then your tan will last longer as well. Can I moisturize my legs after a spray tan?
It's ok to moisturize after a spray tan they recommend it because if your skin is dry the tan comes off faster. I don't know about the Veet stuff because isn't that hair remover I would suggest just using a normal moisturizer without any fragrances because fragrances dry skin out.
Yes will be fine to do it now as it's the next day and your tan will be set by now
yes u can....lotion actually helps prolong ur fake tan cuz it keeps it from drying out.

How often do you spray tan?

Ok this is for all the Mystic Tanners out there (spray tan). How often do you go to keep your tan up? How much do you pay a visit? How often do you spray tan?
I went once to get a mystic tan and I came out totally orange. I think I'll stick to natural tanning, haha. How often do you spray tan?
i got one a couple of years ago and so did my mom we looked like carrots. i dont do that anymore.

What spray tan do you guys love?

I am taking up mobile tanning as a second job in the evening and at the weekends. I would like to know from you guys what spray tans you have had and what spray tans you like. What spray tan do you guys love?
St Tropez is the only one I've used that doesn't make me look orange

Can you shave if you have a spray tan?

Getting one done tonight but then need to shave legs etc tomorrow. Will this fade the tan if I shave or am in the shower too long? Can you shave if you have a spray tan?
You should have waxed right before you went and spray tanned.

How long do i leave my spray tan on before i wash the excess off?

some people got confused with what i was asking.

    i actually mean...well okay...

you go to the place and they spray the tan on...then how long do you leave it to set and develop in your skin, before you wash the excess off?

    haha, sorry.

...because i got one for my formal and i got it the night before and washed it off the next day.

i need one for saturday night, and was supposed to get one tonight, friday night...to sleep with the excess, but i'm wondering if i got it done in the morning would i have the excess on long enough to have developed in my skine etc?How long do i leave my spray tan on before i wash the excess off?
get it on first thing and it will b ok to wash off later on that day, i dont reckon that they really need 24 hours,

i got one on for my sis wedding and couple of hours later i got a splash up my arm, i thought it was ruined but luckily the tan had dried in and it was only the excess,

    goood luck with the tan

How much does it cost to get a professional spray tan?

they are usually around $25-$45, but it depends on where you go.

to prolong your tan you should exfoliate well the day before your tan in order to remove any dead skin cells. if you shave or wax, this should also be done before the day of your tan. do not wear deodorants or make up or any other preparation on your skin on tanning day as these can act as a barrier to the tanning solution.

i wouldnt wear white for about 24 hours, just encase. just wear loose dark clothing straight after and do not shower for at least eight hours as this can remove some of the tan before it has had a chance to develop. the first night, it is best to wear pyjamas or baggy loose clothing in order to prevent disturbing your developing tan and to protect your sheets (do not sleep in silk sheets as these WILL stain)

also avoid soaking in the bath as this encourages the sloughing of dead skin cells and will hasten the fading of your tan. avoid swimming pools as chlorine will hasten the tan fading. moisturise every day (preferably twice) in order to keep your skin and tan in tip top condition, you can also get tan extending moisturisers from some salons so ask about that.

    hope this helps

xHow much does it cost to get a professional spray tan?
It depends on where you go, but can range from $25-40. If you are going for the airbrush spray tan, make sure you inquire as to how many they have done/how experienced. With any spray tan, make sure that you exfoliate properly and use the blocker appropriately. How much does it cost to get a professional spray tan?
If you do the mystic tanning booths it's about 30 dollars, depending on where you live. If you want someone to actually spray the tan on you, that will cost you a little bit more.
There usually run from $35 to $50 but a lot of places have specials for first time costumers so a couple of the places I have gone to offer two tans for $50

  • Is there a spray tan that MAKES you paler?

I know it sounds dumb but I would TOTALLY love to look like a vampire! Is there a spray tan that MAKES you paler?
Not a tan, but I've heard of skin Bleaching- it was on Tyra Banks Show yesterday. Alot of dark african-americans apparently use it to lighten their skin. It is supposed to fade scars and blemishes on white people, so I guess you could use it to lighten your skin, but I dont think its very safe.

Here's the link to the show I saw

    http://tyrashow.warnerbros.com/2009/01/t鈥?/a>

I did my make up once to look like a vampire- just get a foundation a few shades lighter and an Ivory mineral foundation to put over the top of that. The combo of the 2 gives great coverage, just make sure you do your neck and all the way down to your collar. Have fun!Is there a spray tan that MAKES you paler?
    ';Use foundation or power 2 shades lighter than your natural complexion.';

    ';Look for makeup that has a high pigment concentration, such as brands designed to cover tattoos. These produce flawless results.';

lol tan is dark. not white... use lots of sun screen and paler makeup...

What is the best thing to remove a mystic spray tan?

Try a body scrub in the shower, with a body pouf. This will help speed up your skin's natural exfoliation process. The Mystic Tan is only on the top layer of your skin, so the scrub will help remove it more quickly. What is the best thing to remove a mystic spray tan?
    rub a lemon on yourself

How long does spray tan last?

i wanna go get a spray tan, how long would it last? How long does spray tan last?
Good job for wanting a spray tan instead of tanning bed or roasting in the sunlight!!!

OK, it lasts about five to ten days depending on the tanner. But most are about a week. That's how long mine lasts :))

Just be sure to check out online reviews on the products so you get a good one that looks natural! How long does spray tan last?
i thimk it last like 6 weeks*

Which is better geting a spray tan or doin it yourself?

how many days in advance would you get a spray tan done? any advice?Which is better geting a spray tan or doin it yourself?
A spray tan turns out better, totally even and all over. It's more expensive though. If you are going to apply the tan yourself, I think St Tropez and Fake Bake are good for getting streak-free color. If you have a party you're going to, go for your spray tan the day before : )

How do i get a spray tan off?

I put it on last night for the first time and I forgot to wash it off my hands =PHow do i get a spray tan off?
exfoliate like mad...???How do i get a spray tan off?
Use astringent toners to remove a fake tan, or try using toothpaste. Exfoliation will even out uneven application.

Next time, do your hands last. The best way is to rub tan on the back of one hand, the n rub the two backs of your hands together. If you do decide to do your palms, rub them right away with a wipe soaked in toner - nothing says fake tan like orange palms.

    Good luck!!
I don't think there is a definite way to get it off. If it is on your hands though try a Painter's Soap maybe... It works well getting other tricky messes of hands in a easy manor. I've never used spray tan so I'm not entirely sure.

    I hope this helps.
When this happens I use a product by Tanwiser that removes the self tanner stain off my hands.
    you could try baby oil

i know it gets off fake tatoos

i had an armfull one day for halloween

and it got rid of all of them in less then 5 minutes

you dont even need alot. you can try it!
try lemon juice..and sometimes if you use nail polish remover...but you have to be careful with nail polish remover

but i would suggest lemon juice
Chlorine well a swimming pool wold get it off if its a dark tan 3 times swimming??
haha i think it might come off with just water and soap idk tho :(( sorrryyyssss

How does a full body spray tan work?

    hi

i have my prom of friday and have booked myself in for a full body tan tomorrow but i really dont know how it works. i an a first timer and wanted to know if you have to walk into a booth or anything and like if you have to wear any clothing, etc

please could somebody advise me on this im actually really scared!!!

thanks for answers in advanceHow does a full body spray tan work?
Its probably in a booth. Wear loose clothing to the salon so you don't wreak your tan afterwords. You get taken into a room where the booth is and you undress fully. Step into the booth and get sprayed 4-6 times. Then you get out of the booth and get dressed again. good luck! How does a full body spray tan work?
I think you have to go naked or just wear underwear but that underwear will get sprayed aswell.

  • I Really Need a Tan!! I dont want to use Sunbeds and Spray Tans wash off, any ideas?

I have used tanning moisturisers and stuff like that before but they dont go right! I need a tan that will last for a while without the risk of streakyness or skin cancer, anybody got any solutions?! Thanks! =]I Really Need a Tan!! I dont want to use Sunbeds and Spray Tans wash off, any ideas?
I hear you! I'm pale as a white sheet of paper and 99.9% of sunless tanners look ridiculous on me. Even on 3 mins. I get burned in tanning beds. Haha. I'm a mess.

Professional tanning salons have a spray tan that work better, looks much better and stay on much longer than over-the-counter sunless tanners. I'm getting married and that's what I'll have to use too. Do your research, some are better than others. And everyone tells me you get what you pay for. I gave the salon sunless tan a trial run last weekend and I can't tell you how impressed I was by the results. I've never looked that naturally tan in my whole live.

For a less expensive option: Last summer I had more success with the gradual sunless over the counter tanners than I have the one time applications. Jergins makes a lotion (in a light green bottle) that has a very small amount of sunless tanner in it. If you use it every day when you get out of the shower over time you develop a really nice even-looking tan. No streaks. It's a little more expensive because you'll have to finish a whole bottle before you start to see the glow. And then you'll have to continue buying it to keep it. But it's worth it and much more natural looking than other over the counter junk.

Good luck future-bronze-goddess!I Really Need a Tan!! I dont want to use Sunbeds and Spray Tans wash off, any ideas?
I'm a *porcelain* gal, often working as a body double for actresses who are MUCH MUCH tanner than I am...

My little beauty secret is Sally Hansen's Airbrush legs.

Yes, it's a spray-on and only lasts until your next shower, but it's no more work than applying your daily moisturizer!

Spray it lightly, rub it in and VOILA! you look like you've come back from a cruise. (In fact, when I used it after my Christmas cruise - since my skin sucks at tanning %26amp; didn't acquire much color - everyone was complimenting me on how ';glowing'; and ';bronzed'; I looked. ';How lucky to have gotten such beautiful color over the winter holidays!!';)

    *shhh*

It also has vitamin E, so I find my skin to be softer with each use. Went to a Mardi Gras ball this year, made my mom try some on her shoulders/chest and she couldn't stop raving about how young she looked! Took about 10 years off her appearance. Now there's rarely a day she doesn't ';tan'; her legs.

...and the less you bake in the sun, the younger and healthier you'll look -- combine that with a little color when you prefer and you'll always look 23!

In any case, the most important thing is to love your appearance. Own it. Go tan one day %26amp; the next don a sleek/sophisticated Nikki Kidman sheen. Consider your tan an accessory -- think of how many girls are stuck with the same, boring color?! Light skin was once a sign of royalty, and is still coveted in hundreds of cultures.

So rock it, love it... but when you want a little bohemian beauty, reach for the spray tan.

    Good luck!

    :)

You've eliminated fake tan and real tan. Those are your only options. Spray tans or sunless tanning lotions aren't perfect, but they eliminate the chance of skin cancer. However they do wear off easily as they are kind of a 'dye' on your skin and come off as the outter layer of skin does...and sometimes on your clothing/bedding.

Real tanning, via tanning bed or the sun, goes through several layers of skin. It is much longer lasting, and if done correctly (without getting burned) does increase your risk of skin damage over time, but the skin cancer risk isn't as great as if you actually get a sun burn (it's still there, just not as great).

I prefer to use the sun (why pay for skin cancer, when you can get it for free?) but have used tanning beds before, when I wanted color and a good base tan (for sun protection) quickly.
my mum uses johnsons holiday skin moisturizer, you use it on your body, and just rub it in evenly when you've got out of the bath/shower and leave it for a while to let it dry in :].

it's won awards such as best tanning moisturizer and it is a very good tanning solution! it's around 拢4, but it's worth it - it lasts for ages!

i hope this helps, good luck ;x.
The best healthy way to get a nice all over tan is to eat lots of raw carrots. (it contain carotene and will give you a lovely golden glow) But beware ! Your skin will remain sensitive to sun rays. So loads of anti-Uv block needed.
Sunbeds and the Real Sun, BOTH increase your risk of skin cancer. Either go on a sunbed or go on holiday. Either way you'll still increase your risk of cancer, but you'll look good and that's what counts. Ain't it?
Wipes with a tint are good and cheap

Why don't you try using self tan and then put moisturiser over the top just before it has completly dry and that way it will last longer and look more even

    x
Use a moisturizer with tanning agents in it...it will build a natural tan with out all the other stuff

    :)

Does a spray tan come off after swimming?

I am competing in a triathlon and don't want to go in the pool tanned and come out white?!!Does a spray tan come off after swimming?
Ur not suppose to use the Spray tan when going swimming!!!!!!Does a spray tan come off after swimming?
Well, I can't speak for all tanning salons. But my best friend got a spray tan once, a very expensive tan and it looked beautiful the first day. She took a shower a day later (according to the salon she went to, after 8 hours you could bathe with the tan) and it came off, making her whole body look all streaky and discolored. o.O I would NOT even try a spray tan. Remembering what she looked like made me realize this...I think tanning in general is dangerous and stupid. Except the way you are...is that seriously that hard???? But anyway, spray tans are fake and often turn out orangy. I can easily tell when a girl has a fake tan because a lot of girls from my school do it, and it looks unnatural and usually orange and ugly. Oh, and no spray tans I know of are permanent!
yeah it will!!! you arent supposed to go in chlorinated water:) thats what i did and i came out of the water with tan streaks all over!!!

oh wait the water isnt chlorinated is it??? i think that you will be fine as the long as the waters not chlorine or salt
    maybe?? i'm not soo sure

    answer mine plz

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
Some spray on tans are water resistant or even water proof, check the label before you buy the product
no it doesnt its basicly permanet.
it depends on the brand of spraytan...
well if you just stay in the water you wont have that problem, think of it as a monathalon
why? is the pool filled with milk?
no. Unless it is really cheap.
    yes
it shouldn't as long as you wait for a while

What's the best way to get an all over tan? Tanning bed or Spray Tan?

I'm very frustrated because my arms are very brown but my breasts and bottom are very NOT brown and I want to make my skin tone even. I want a natural looking all over tan and I was wondering what would be the best way to get one? I've never been to a tanning salon before and I also want the fastest results. Help me!!What's the best way to get an all over tan? Tanning bed or Spray Tan?
There are pros and cons of both.

    Spray tan pros:

    -doesn't damage skin

    -usually has even coverage

    -instant tan

    Spray tan cons:

    -costs more than tanning beds

-only lasts about 2 weeks to a month

    -could turn out orangey

    Tanning Bed pros:

    -even coverage

-can usually get good deals at most salons

    -lasts a long time

    -relaxing

    Tanning Bed cons:

-takes longer to build up a good tan (shouldnt go more than twice a week ESPECIALLY if its your first time...i would suggest only going once a week)

-can damage skin later in life

*If you do end up using a tanning bed I would suggest for the first time to not tan your butt for more than a few minutes...put a towel underneath it for the rest of the time..it sounds silly but trust me, if you don't you will wish you did. Then, from then on out just go up a couple minutes each time.

What's the best way to get an all over tan? Tanning bed or Spray Tan?
Tanning is something you really have to be careful with. I have the same problem and i would suggest the tanning bed, 3 times a week for 10-12 mins each. Even though a spray tan is better for your body, your not tanning your whole body, just those target areas. So make sure you put tanning lotion on and you should cover your face....the tanning bed can really ruin the skin and cause wrinkles.
tanning salon. do a regular laying down bed first then do a standup unit every now and then to make sure it is completely even because beds when you are laying down can create pressure points which dont tan.
go to the beach and run around for the day.
dont get a spray tan or u will end up orange like i did!!!

Can you still get a tan at the beach EVEN if you have had like a spray tan done?

I'm going to the beach in august but i want to either have a spray tan done or use some tanning lotion you can buy in a store and do it yourself. I want to have an even skin tone BUT I don't want to have it done if it's going to make me darker while at the beach because I tan easily. Can you still get a tan at the beach EVEN if you have had like a spray tan done?
Save your money. If you tan easily- just come on down to the beach--and yes you will still tan with a spray on... or lotion.... but save that expense and treat yourself to something fun at the beach instead!

How long dose a spray tan take?

My friends mom is going to get a spray tan and her daughter (my friend) alexa wanted one so she went she may not get one because she dosent have an appiontment but i want to go to her house later and see if she did so How long dose it take to get it done????How long dose a spray tan take?
There are different types. There are towels with the self tanning lotion inside and they take about 3 hours more or less to make your skin tanned. The lotions are divided into to types:one work on your skin with the tanning effect just after the fist application and the second works in order to tan your skin gradually Application by application. The reaction speed is the same 3 hours. If want to get an immediate effect you should call a pro that will spread on your body a king of lotion and powder mixed together.

Bye!How long dose a spray tan take?
The actual spraying part takes maybe 45 seconds.

What is the avergae price of a spray tan session?

I want to get a nice tan for a party I'm going to in a few weeks and I was also wondering how long it takes before you see a difference in your skin tone?

any advice for a first time tannerWhat is the avergae price of a spray tan session?
they're usually 25 dollars, make sure you go to a salon that has a mystic tan booth they should give you your own color cartridge to go in the machine, i usually get the light without bronzer and it takes a few hours to show up and look good but i would do it like 2 days before because i think the color looks the best on the 3rd 4th and 5th days even though they last like 7days, i was really scared the first time i went but just make sure you use the barrier cream and you'll be fine im actually going to get one tommorrow for my prom on saturday because i like it so much, and i tan in a tanning bed to, but you'll like it have fun being tan!!What is the avergae price of a spray tan session?
It's about $35 in Texas. You can't shower for a few hours after the tan, and it gets darker by the hour. I would do it the day before your party...as early as possible. Then don't shower until right before the party and only rinse off...don't scrub yourself. Then moisturize and go to the party looking like you've been in Florida for a week!!!
when my friend get a spray tan she paid $24

so i would say its probably around there.

i think you see a diff right away.

make sure that you completely rub in the stuff they give you to put on you hands or else they will turn orange.

    i hope i helped=]

  • When you go to get a spray tan, do you have to do it topless?

I'd be a little awkward if i had to take my bra off and have the spray tan, or do you usually just wear a strapless bikini style one? When you go to get a spray tan, do you have to do it topless?
Idk. I have an at home spray tan kit. It costs about 80 $ and 25 $ for the refills. I've never got one at a tanning place or doctors office so I wouldn't know. If you are like me and want privacy, buy one of the nice kits and do it yourself. Mines a flawless airbrushing kit and the tan lasts for 10 days and gradually gets darker. : )When you go to get a spray tan, do you have to do it topless?
i always go topless when getting a spray tan - white bits are not very attractive! - the person doing it has seen it all before honey i just wear a thong - take it from me , once you have seen one you have seen them all i work in care and see the ';bits'; of random people on a daily basis and to be honest i really don't take much notice just get on with my job! which im sure is the same for whoever is doing the spray tanning i seriously doubt they will remember you an hour after you leave the shop! x

hope your tan looks great :)
When you get a spray tan it's upto you how much or little clothes you wear. Some girls do it completely naked, some do it in shorts %26amp; t-shirts. They don't actually care, they've seen it all before. And it's your clothes that get ruined if you leave them on lol.
When I was working at the Spa we had the gun and all the women who did it were nude. All of them were like I am paying to have a tan so do the whole body. Now some places have the booth were it is automatic and you are by yourself.
no you dont have to do it topless but most people do so they wont have any lines. but if it bothers you going topless wear a strapless, but i wouldnt worry they see naked bodies everyday they dont take any notice.
It's completely up to you! I have had spray tans done with a bra on and without but it does look better without the bra
    No.
u can do wateva makes u comfortable.they will ax u wat u want to do..or they should!

I had the same problem a couple of months ago

No, I would say get it the day before..

It won't look to great on the first day, but it'll get darker.

The next day try to leave having a shower as late as you can,

because some of the tan may still darken during that day.

Hope that helps.I am planning to have a spray tan the day before my yr 10 formal or should I allow 2-3 days before?
I recommend that you allow 2-3 days before your formal so if anything goes wrong there is time to fix it, that way you wont regret looking back at the photos and looking like a pumpkin ;).

How long the tan lasts will all depend on what type you buy and if its professionaly done then they will tell you.

hope i helped you a bit.

Congrats on finishing year 10 hope you have a great formal
allow 2-3 days so that if it dose look bad you can fix it somehow.
oh please please please make sure you get a good tan LOL

If i was to get a spray tan would it come off in a pool?

i was thinking about getting a spray tan. but im a diver and swim 4 times a week. will the chlorine make it come off? if so will it like be in the pool or will it just make it lighter. would it be noticable on my body?

please answer! thankssss! If i was to get a spray tan would it come off in a pool?
As long as you let it dry properly (usually 8 hours is the minimum) it won't wash off in the pool leaving you streaky. What a spray tan does is pretty much just stain the outer layers of your skin, so while the chlorine might dry your skin causing it to shed faster, it would fade evenly and look fine, but yes, most likely it wouldn't last as long as if you didn't go swimming. If i was to get a spray tan would it come off in a pool?
No, as long as you let the tanner dry. I would suggest not showering or swimming for 24 hours to really let it develop and attach to your skin. Fake tans color the dead skin and first couple layers, so don't exfoliate. Moisturize everyday to glue the skin down and your tan will last longer. It won't turn the pool orange, and even with showering all fake tans fade. Unless theres some EXTREME amount of chlorine, you should be fine. xoso
well...the spray goes off. that`s for sure. you should try the lotion. apply it 24 hours before you go to the pool. this way it doesn`t go off...my mom tried it.
It will run off you. When i went away on holiday with my friends they all decided to wear fake tan and it left streaks running down their legs!
    Defiantly. I cried.

Will the spray tanner allow me to have a darker tan than the one she will reccomend?

I have fair skin and she will reccomend light, can i ask her to go medium? and will she let me?

it's an ergant occasion so i need to get it perfect! thanksWill the spray tanner allow me to have a darker tan than the one she will reccomend?
tan through sun is good optionWill the spray tanner allow me to have a darker tan than the one she will reccomend?
Yeah i think so, she will be like um okay but i really reccomond not doing that but your the customer and your paying her so Im pretty sure she will let you.

  • Will a salon spray tan cover stretch marks?

All my friends are going swimming because obviously it's boiling. I'm really self concious though of my stretch marks and also a scar i have from a belly button piercing. Do you think a professional spray tan done at a salon will cover them? Will a salon spray tan cover stretch marks?
I cannot say for definate whether a salon spray tan will 'cover' stretch marks, as I have never tried it myself. Why not just go along and give it a go? worth a try...

The only experience I have had is natural sun tanning and fake tan you apply at home. Neither covered/disguised my stretch marks, infact, it made them stand out 10 times more.

I have in the past gotten a nice natural dark tan from using a sun bed. I didn't even think about my stretch marks. But one day when I was drying myself after a shower I looked down on myself and could see all these white streaks on my thighs and stomach (they were my stretch marks)... I had really nice golden dark skin but the stretch marks were still as white/silver as they have ever been and it looked awful!

I also recently tried fake tan to see if that would cover my stretch marks (I purely bought the fake tan for that reason, to find something that might disguise my stretch marks)... I bought Xen-Tan Dark Lotion - it has very high reviews and is a great self tanner, not cheap either.

Well anyway, I tried it on the stretch marks on my thighs and stomach and nope, it didn't cover them one bit. It looked absolutely disgusting in my opinion. The thing is, when stretch marks fade they are normally a shade or two shades lighter than your 'normal' skin colour. But when I applied the fake tan over the stretch marks, they didn't even get slightly darker... it was as if someone had rubbed a fake tan repellent onto each stretch mark!

I got a tip from someone online... she told me to apply the fake tan to each individual stretch mark first with a cotton bud, to get the stretch marks built up with some colour first, she said to do this a few times... then once that's dry apply the fake tan properly all over the area... well not even that worked, they still were showing up white like scars... so now I have given up.Will a salon spray tan cover stretch marks?

im not sure about the spray. but i do know the that self tanning lotion does not cover them, it just makes them darker with you

when you have a tan, you most of the time can see stretch marks better than a pail white person.

how i now? because i have stretch marks also and i have tried the self tanning and it didnt cover them

but like i said im not sure about the professional spray tan, it might or it might not work.but most likely it wont.

Can you wear make up on the morning before you get a spray tan? Does it create a barrier?

Im currently studying beauty therpay at college. A few months ago I passed on St tropez. I would advise you not to wear any makeup, deodrant or any other products.

I did this and got a right telling off by my teacher.

After the day I had my tan, it resulted in having a brown body and white face.

If you do wear makeup they will provide you with special facial wipes to remove any makeup, perfume etc etc.

You cannot use normal wipes as they have different ingredients in them which will mix with the tanning solution.

You wouldnt want to look like a did would you? lol white face, brown body. Can you wear make up on the morning before you get a spray tan? Does it create a barrier?
You can wear it on the morning of your spray tan. Just remember to take it off before you get the tan or else you'll end up with a white face. Hehe. =]

xCan you wear make up on the morning before you get a spray tan? Does it create a barrier?
Dont wear make up before you get ur tan. It will u stop getting even coverage so u will have even tan on ur body and a patchy face. Also make sure to exfoliate the night before ur tan including ur face. Hope this helps!
Yes, it does create a barrier. Majority of makeup products contain silicone and that in fact covers your skin-
It will create a barrier. I had a spray tan done last weekend and wore makeup and she gave me cleanser to take it off before she sprayed. Best to wear no makeup!
Don't put foundation on, you will end up with a bald patch.

What's a good way to prevent a spray tan from fading so quickly?

...besides not showering (gross!)What's a good way to prevent a spray tan from fading so quickly?
DON'T exfoliate in the shower. Use a moisturizer body wash and apply it either with your hands or a very soft, gentle loofah - no scrubbing, no scratchy sponges, no washcloth or you'll scrub the tan right off.

After you shower, use a good moisturizer to keep your skin from drying out - dry skin will lose a tan faster than moisturized skin, because the top layer will just flake off. What's a good way to prevent a spray tan from fading so quickly?
hmm maybe not using it because it does not look natural at all sorry but you can totally tell and its not even pretty

What is better a spray tan or a tanning bed?

ok so i would never go n2 a tanning bed (causes skin cancer) but just wondering which 1 is better 4 ur skin and which 1 looks more real? What is better a spray tan or a tanning bed?
    Spray tans are awesome!

Just have to keep them up to date...What is better a spray tan or a tanning bed?
spray is better for skin. bed looks more real.
i am a long time natural and tanning bed tanner. the tan is actually real from the bed. same as with the sun. it tends to last longer also, and is always more even. i strongly suggest tanning bed. also, i would be concerned about the chemicals in bottled tan.
spray tan but dont put too much and look like a tango and the tan look is kinda ugly in my opinion
better for your skin = spray tan (tanning beds increase probability of getting skin cancer)

if you get a good one, you can rock a spray tan just as good as if you went tanning.
Spray tan is better because you end up living longer!

Although, tanning bed looks more real because it covers better. But you won't be worried about that when you're 50 and dying.

OK I have asked about the Sunbeds but what about the Spray tan?

I want to get tanned but I have never had a spray tan or been on a sunbed

What I want to know is what happens with the Spray tan? Are you in a booth on your own like a sunbed?

I am insecure about stripping off in front of peopleOK I have asked about the Sunbeds but what about the Spray tan?
I think a spray tan by person is better as they will give you better advice on skin preparation. Why don't you see if you can find someone that will come to you to do it, that way you will be in a more comfortable environment.OK I have asked about the Sunbeds but what about the Spray tan?
I did a spray tan for my sisters wedding...full body...I was able to keep my shorts on and I had a strapless bra on. I looked nice and tan too...it was great...The place I went did it with an airbrush. It was a little room, me and the girl that sprayed me. Some places have a little room with a sprayer though. You stand and it sprays.

    Goodluck
There are several types. Once type is in a booth on your own and the machine sprays you and no one sees you. I don't personally think this is the best way. I prefer when you have the beauty assistant spray you - they can see if they miss any parts and can adjust the colour to suit you. I know it can be embarrassing but they see hundreds of people of all shapes and sizes so try not to worry - the results are always better!
usually u have to stand in a booth........... but i guess it depend to which saloon u go to. spray is better i think. u can top it uo until u get the colour u want!!

Yesturday was my first day tanning, im really pale and i dont know if i should spray tan or use a bed?

I want to become tan before summer starts.Yesturday was my first day tanning, im really pale and i dont know if i should spray tan or use a bed?
spray def. tanning using light or the sun does a lot of damage to your skin. eg. age spots, uneven skin tone ( especially in pale skin), wrinkles and the worst: skin cancer.Yesturday was my first day tanning, im really pale and i dont know if i should spray tan or use a bed?
if you want a great tan adn skin cancer!-- deffinetly go for the bed, if you would like a great tan but be orange for a day or so until it settles and and skin cancer free, Deffinatly recconment the spray tan =] good luck,
If you want a tan that stays and is more worth your money i would use a bed. Spray tans look orange very often streak and only stay for a few days. Not to mention they are very costly. I only usually spray tan if i have an special occasion.
bed lead to skins cancer go with the spray for safety reasons or really you should get lotion to tone your skin if you really don't want to damage your skin
start using a bed. its already april, and if u want to get a full-on tan by the summer u shuld start hitting the tanning bed!
Tanning beds are so terrible for your skin and skin cancer is no joke...use the spray tan.

i actually got a spray tan for homecoming my freshman year.. it didn't turn me ';orange';, but then again i am naturally a little tanner than most. don't be worried about turning orange. just go to a good tanning place like planet beach if you have one in your town.. they have a specific bed where you can get 2349857192 spray tans there and you will not turn orange!Should i get a spray tan for homecoming?
    Hey there!

Spray tanning is the new big deal amongst celebrities! Do a google search and notice how many A-list celebs are making the switch. After all, its the only skin you have and we all want to stay looking beautiful.

I notice that a lot of people answered your question with the response of ';you will turn orange.'; Let me explain. DHA is the key element that creates color in your skin from a spray tan, if someone gets too much DHA for their skin tone this causes the orange appearance. Most find this when going to a spray booth, because it is a basic setting and is done by a machine. If you go to a custom spray tanning service where you have an actual person that has been trained to do so, this will not happen! You will end up having a beautiful bronze tan in just a few moments.

after you get a spray tan you cannot shower for 24 hrs. I suppose you could shower, and i think lemon juice takes it off?

Do you think a guy getting a spray tan would be weird?

I want a tan but am a lil pale... Its heading into summer her ein Australia oh and just incase you were wondering... Im straight.Do you think a guy getting a spray tan would be weird?
personally, i don't think it is weird. just make sure your tan is even and looks natural. please don't allow yourself to have that orangey effect as it will make you look like a pumpkin and thus will look weird.Do you think a guy getting a spray tan would be weird?
totally weird. I think it's weird for us girls to get fake tans, never mind guys. If you're naturally pale, just go with that. chances are your hair and eye colouring is going to reflect the fact that you're not a naturally tanned person and it's gonna look really odd.
Don't, besides it is weird if you do not apply evenly and properly. You will have tan lines where you normally shouldnt have tan lines and the tan fades away quickly after you shower.
Some straight guys i know use sunbeds, but i dont see y guys cant get a spray tan, as long as its not bright orange and really noticable. Tell the tanning lady you want a very light natural colour.
Go outside and play some football with your shirt off or something.. spray tans are useless get a real tan. tanning booths suck.
haha..its okay.as long as its not obvious that your taness is spray.haha.it greater for a guy to be dark.
I think that men who Tan or spray tan, get manis and pedi are not real men, in my oppinion
as long as it looks natural thats not weird at all! but if it looks orange..that would be weird.
    Umm yeah it would be
    Would look odd %26amp; gay

Can I put tanning lotion over a splotchy spray tan?

I had a spray tan ( booth) done a 11am its now about 2 and the tan looks fine except for tiny, tiny dark spots on parts of my arms and legs. Can I just put my own tanning lotion over it?? To even it out..Can I put tanning lotion over a splotchy spray tan?
Wait until you take a shower, depending on how splotchy you are you may be able to put a bronzing moisturizer on. If you are very splotchy you may need to remove it or let it wear off.

What to do before getting a spray tan?

should i do anything special? like exfoliate or put lotion on? im getting the kind where a person sprays you rather then getting in a booth naked. What to do before getting a spray tan?
Just exfoliate really well so it lasts longer. Don't put lotion on... You don't want any barriers between your skin and the spray tan. What to do before getting a spray tan?
You should probably call the tanning place and ask them, as they will know best.

But generally, it's a good idea to exfoliate and shave. You can put a little bit of lotion on the night before, but not the day of, because you want the tan to stick better.

Hope I helped and that your tan looks great!
get a body scrub that has beads in it so it can take off all the dry skin. if you have dead skin on while spray tanning it will look blothy and extremely uneven. then exfoliate so your skin will be more susceptable to the spray tan. good luck.
My best advice for you would be NOT to get a spray tan. There are serious consequences that may result as of getting a spray tan. You know that highers your chances of being diagnosed with cancer!
before getting a spray tan you should reconsider doing it and decide not to.

not sure but if that dry skin is dead skin, the tan will rub off those spots faster, especially when you shower

you should exfoliate well firstIf i have dry skin will my skin turn white where its dry if i get a spray tan?
I assume it will come out even more uneven

You should probably deal with the dry skin first, if it's white then it's all dead skin cells. Exfoliate daily, and get a good moisturizer meant for dry skin.

Hi ive just had my belly pierced and i wondered whether im allowed to have a spray tan or cover it up?

i had my belly pierced 2 days ago and am planning to have a spray tan done in a few days but i don't know whether i have to have it covered or not?Hi ive just had my belly pierced and i wondered whether im allowed to have a spray tan or cover it up?
Yes you can get a tan, but cover up the area. I wouldn't recommend you getting one just yet since your piercing is really new, but if you need to get a tan than go right ahead, just make sure you clean the piercing with sea salt soaks right after.Hi ive just had my belly pierced and i wondered whether im allowed to have a spray tan or cover it up?
Any piercing especially within the first six months (varying on what was pierced) I would recommend keeping it well covered to prevent infection. A spray tan may look nice, but an infection is incredibly painful, and often the ring has to be taken out and allowed to close if the infection gets bad enough. Follow the care instructions provided by the service that did the piercing. but two days after is certainly not enough time for it to have healed sufficently
i did it all the time, just try not the get the self tanner directly onto the piercing, work around it. my piercing closed in september because the ring fell out but i just got it re-pierced today and went tanning in a bed with bronzer lotion a few hours later and everything's fine. i've never gotten an infection from my bellybutton piercing. just make sure you wash it in the shower and you'll be fine
U DEFF SHOULDNT GET A SPRAY TAN IF U GOT IT PIERCED A FEW DAYS AGO. BUT IF U REALLY HAVE TO GET THE TAN, MAKE SURE U COVER UP THE PIERCING AS GOOD AS POSSIBLE OR ITS ALMOST GUARANTEED THAT U COULD GET AN INFECTION. THATS WAT HAPPENED TO A FRIEND OF MINE. U DONT WANT AN INFECTION. THEY R REALLY NASTY!!!
spray tans have ingredients including perfumes and toxic chemicals. its best not to get these on your piercing. while, it won't infect it or cause any serious issue it can dry the new piercing and create discomfort.
don't spray it, for one it could burn the bejesus out of you and two you could infect it. just cover it up with a bandaid or something.
Try not to get it on the peircing at all.

It smothers it and doesn't allow it to heal properly.

Also you could get an infection, though its not very likely, it happens.
i def would not risk it.

bellybutton peircings can take up to 6 months to heal, if not more and are prone to everything

if i were you i definitely would not.
no def do not do that. it will get infected. the only thing you should but on ur belly button is the stuff they gave you to clean it off everyday
Call the place where you had it done %26amp; ask.
NO it needs to heal first. you could get a infection. well wear your piercing... while you tan.. ok wait n.m

    just no

Plus a red head. its hard to get tan. we get more burnt. so i need names AND what it is (can, pump, bottle).... plz and thx!Does anyone know a good Spray tan or lotion that you can apply by yourself?
I absolutely LOVE L'Oreal Sublime Glow! It's a lotion in a tube that sells for about $8 or $9. You can get it anywhere even in some grocery stores. It doesn't smell bad and as long as you rub it in pretty well, it won't streak. Make sure to wash your hands well though! I apply it every night and get tons of compliments. I am very fair but I wear the medium. You will see results the first day but if you want to go darker, just apply every day. Before a trip, I will do it in the morning and at night (I have tanorexia before I vacation!).Does anyone know a good Spray tan or lotion that you can apply by yourself?
There are NO good tanning lotions, sprays, chemicals, chemicals. You have NO carbon, you can only get that from the sun. The chemicals will increase your cancerous cells.
I use Loreal Sublime Bronze after 3 uses you can definatly tell you're getting tan! (:
I use a spray-can from Victoria's secret called 'Bare Bronze' for about $18. It works, AMAZING! Plus it smells great(: I definitely recommend it.

If you got it on in the morning, you can wash yourself by the evening. That should be plenty of time for it to have done its job. I always want to take a shower soon too, but if you can get thru several hours, you should be good. Can I wash my face with a new spray tan?
hey there...you should wait 8-10 hours until the tan fully dries in your skin. after that, wash your face with something super mild and moisturize it, but don't use the toner or the proactive exfolizating wash at all on the first day...that will mess up the tan.

Should I wash my hair before or after spray tan?

I'm getting a spray tan this afternoon and I need to wash my hair today, would I be better to wash it before or after I get the spray tan?Should I wash my hair before or after spray tan?
I would wash it before you spray tan. They cover your hair with a shower cap so it won't get dirty. That way you don't risk washing the tan off before it is completely dry.Should I wash my hair before or after spray tan?
You should wash your hair after your spray tan..but not straight away becuase the water could run on your tan and streak it ! But although they give you a shower cap some of the spray particles will end up in your hair .. leave it for 12 hours after your tan then jump in the shower and do it all at once..;D
Might as well leave it dirty till you wash the tan off tonight or tomorrow. THey usually put a cap over your hair but the front is still out a bit and maybe a bit round the sides as they'll spray your ears too.
after. you'll need to leave the spray tan on until tomorrow morning for best effects, so you may aswell just wash it tomorrow.
    before
    i would do it before

Is it a bad idea to get a spray tan, even if it is done at a reputable salon?

I don't care if it is dramatic, I just don't want it to be blochy or orange. I want it to look real. Is it a bad idea to get a spray tan, even if it is done at a reputable salon?
No, it's not a bad idea. It shouldn't be blochy or orange, it's done correctly. It's accually a good idea compared to a tanning salon, or laying out on the beach. Much smarter, and less of a risk for cancer! :)

The only downside for you, might be that the only thing you will be wearing is a paper cap to cover your hair. You can request to keep your underwear on or a bikini, but the spray will essentially ruin it, and it creates tan lines. Is it a bad idea to get a spray tan, even if it is done at a reputable salon?
No it's definately not a bad idea. My mom [yes I know lol] gets spray tans sometimes if she has to wear a skirt suit and they look really good. Just make sure to follow the instructions carefully and you'll do fine! It's better than sunning or a tanning bed though.
I say go for it. I've been doing the sunless tanner in a tube at home for about 2 years. and I'm planning to get the spray on done as soon as i can afford it. its just so much easier and less messy. :)
It's not a bad idea at all. I used to get spray tans. It's definitely 100% safer than tanning beds. Spray tans just don't last as long as regular tans.

Will a spray tan help cover my raccoon eyes from sunburn?

On saturday I went out in the sun for too long (I know i should have worn sunscreen) while wearing sunglasses, the redness is fading but i am left with awful tan line across my face where my shades were! I keep putting Aloe on it and have tried to cover it up with make up, but it still looks awful! I was thinking of getting a spray tan on my face, Will it work? Will a spray tan help cover my raccoon eyes from sunburn?
Maybe just get tanning lotion from the store, or use darker makeup around your eyes, or wear a LOT of make up on your eyes.

i want to get a spray on tan at some place, not at home out of a bottle. so please let me know. i want one that doesent stink and one that looks good, not orange. thanks!Whats the best place to get a spray tan?
It all depends where you live... I would say to ask your friends, that's always best. A co worker got a spray tan at this ';really great place'; (so said the internet) and came back orange and blotchy. It was funny and unfortunate at the same time.

  • How long does a spray tan last for?

and if anyone knows how much they usually are.. please tell. How long does a spray tan last for?
Depending on your before and after care, your spray tan should last 7-10 days. Alot of my clients who get sprayed regularly will stay tan up to 2-3 weeks. I don't know where you live, in Canton, OH we charge $25.00 for custom spray tan. I don't know about the salons that offer Mystic/booth spray tans. If you have any other questions you can go to my website www.spraytanohio.comHow long does a spray tan last for?
if u go to a place that has a ';Mystic Tan'; booth, the results are natural looking but it only lasts for 1-1 1/2 weeks. Most people only use spray tanning booths for upcoming special occasions when they don't want permanent results. I am not sure about other tanning booth models, but if you are only looking for a temporary tan, ';Mystic Tan'; is excellent. Happy Tanning :)
The kind I get so I can do it myself last pretty long. It says two days on the can but I think it'll last a week or so. The kind professionals do...well for me it was disgusting and I had to get rid of it as soon as I got it. ugh.

    Try going to Sally's. (http://www.sallybeauty.com/)

then there are helpful ways of putting on (in videos) on youtube.

    :)
A spray tan lasts for about 3 weeks approximately.

How to make a spray tan leave faster?

last night i used a sunless spray tan. I didn't turn orange or anything but i feel too dark and i guess i didn't do too well because i have a few spots here and there. I don't think its something that i'd ever try again, even if it were done professionally. So now i kinda just want it to go away. I know it usually takes like 2 weeks for a spray tan to leave but are there any ways to make it leave faster? homemade recipes? beauty products? anything? thanksHow to make a spray tan leave faster?
I heard that if you put sun tan lotion onto it. It should just wipe off.

BabyGoBoomBoomHow to make a spray tan leave faster?
wet your skin with warm water and exfoliate

repeat this no more than three times a day as you might start to irritate your skin which would not be good!
Exfoliate: use something like a loofah sponge and scrub all over with a good body wash. Exfoliation helps slough off the outer layer of your skin.

What is the best spray tan out there can anyone help?

i am trying to start a spraytanning buisness where do i start and what do i do??What is the best spray tan out there can anyone help?
Black Magic. It has fantastic natural looking colour. and dries quickly with no smell. www.blackmagic.com.au or u can get it on ebay. What is the best spray tan out there can anyone help?
Don't try Mystic Tan - they use the ';Shower'; concept where they just drowse you in self tanner, so the results are streaky, runny and uneven. Plus, you have to stand in this ';mist'; and hold your breath for 3 minutes, which is impossible, so you just breath in all that stuff. I've recently tried the Autobronzer from California Tan, and it's phenomenal! The color is a bit lighter, but it looks more natural, and the spray technique is different, so it doesn't streak. It's great.
I prefer the California Tan Custombronzer to the Spray Tan machine. The CustomBronzer is a hand-held unit so someone actually sprays you so it's even and more detailed(They featured it on Sunset Tan). And it doesn't leave you looking ';orange'; a la Paris Hilton since they can control the level of color.

Mystic Tan is notorious for orange and streaky results - I would stay away. Definitely don't try it before an event. I've tried the California Tan AutoBronzer and liked it alot better - I thought it smelled better and looked more natural. Also, since it's and ';open'; booth, there's no fog like with the mystic - you can actually breathe.

Give the custombronzer a shot but if you prefer a spray tan, try the AutoBronzer.
nivea is top, cheap and best is eva, tommy girl is also gud
maybe you should ask a true proffesional and try a course if u know nothing.

try the products at bath and body works. most of their self tanners do not have a bad sent but you can test them all to see which one you prefer.

http://ribbonties.blogspot.com/How do you use Spray Tan on your face?
sorry for the long answer! : )

The best thing to do for your face, would be not to get a fake tan that you spray.

There are other products out there that are more effective and are more likely to give a non-streak finish. Products like tinted moisturisers and tanning creams are best for your face because you are moisutrising your skin at the same time. Your facial skin is more sensitive than the rest of your body, and moisturising creams are more gentle on your skin.

There are all over body creams that are an option but keep a look out for products that are specially designed for your face.

If spray works for you, use it, just not on your face. You can often end up spraying your hair or gettting it in your eyes.

  • Should I get a spray tan before or after vacation?

I am going to Florida for Thanksgiving and was wondering if I should get a spray tan before or after since I will probably only get a base during this time of year. I was thinking after so it will last longer but idk.Should I get a spray tan before or after vacation?
    Do both.

Get one before you go so you look tan while at Florida.

Then get one when you come home so it will intensify the base tan that you got while at Florida.

As long as you're there for at least 4-7 days you can get one when you come home without looking crazy tan.

Get a level two Mystic Tan.

Make sure to use lotion to help keep the spray tan longer and remember to exfoliate before you get a spray tan NOT AFTER!

=) good luck.Should I get a spray tan before or after vacation?
I think you should get one before, because you don't want to show up to wherever you are going looking really pale, and then when you get a REAL tan, the spray tan won't be there.
    after :)

When you go to get a spray tan do you go in with makeup on and take it off there?

Because i feel really ugly and awkward without my makeup on and i'd rather take it off there, or do they like it when you've got no makeup on?When you go to get a spray tan do you go in with makeup on and take it off there?
    Hey

i have always wondered about that too.

But i think they prefer it if you don't wear make up, other wise it will be awkward to have to make sure you have it all off when you are taking it off in the salon. It would be a lot easier if you just didn't wear any make-up, because then you can just walk in and get it done then walk straight back out. :)When you go to get a spray tan do you go in with makeup on and take it off there?
Hi there, I don't think that the technician would have a problem with you just taking it off there. I've done that before when I've gone straight from work. Just take wipes with you and take it off when your getting undressed. The only thing is that the make up remover may effect how well the tan takes to the skin on your face but in my experience its always been ok. x

there are some good and some bad tanners out there and if you are not sure try it in a area that is not seen with clothes on. if you like the color then apply all over if not just use a body scrub to get it off. remember to apply the night before or two nights before that way you have time to fix mistakes. good luck.

Can I drive after having a spray tan done?

I'm having a spray tan done professionally next week for the first time. And basically my friend has got me worried that if I drive home after I've had it done the steering wheel and gear box etc will rub the tan off and leave my hands patchy! Will this actually happen? Can I drive after having a spray tan done?
No. They usually will give you a towel or something to help you dry. you wont get into your car dripping of spray tan, that would be the only way.

Ive gotten them done, gotten dressed, driven home and then showered a few hrs later.

you will be fine. Can I drive after having a spray tan done?
no cos you dont tan the palm of your hands. everywhere gets tanned but they wipe your hands cos your hands and feet tan the most. they never spray your palms cos if you were to get a suntan you would never naturally tan there
Well yea - if you drive with the backs of your hands!

Are you sure you are old enough to drive.

Ohh and the gear box is under the car - how you gonna get at that then.
no you wont have the tan on the palms of your hands silly!

remember to wear loose clothing (not jeans - they will leave lines down your legs where the seams are!)
No the tan wont rub off as they only spray the tops of your hands and you do not use the tops of your hands for driving as far as i am aware!

it's harder - you're better off having a couple of days where you're pasty white but use a carotene based tan booster, try taking some instant with you for at night. Can i still get a natural tan while i have a spray tan ?
of course you can. lots of tanning salons (ex sunset tan) offer a ';cocktail'; which is when you go in the tanning bed, then you get a spray tan. same thing here. that's also why some people use tanning beds with a bronzer tanning bed lotion (which are basically spraytans since its a self tanner that washes off within a few days)
You might as well cover a car in cling film before You spray it.

Has anyone had a California Spray Tan before their wedding?

I want a bit of colour for my big day and ALL the magazines mention having a spray tan 2 -3 days before the wedding and I have been given a voucher for one but I'm not sure about it. Has anyone had one for their wedding and would they recommend it? How long do they last and is there a risk of it going patchy or streaky in the 2 - 3 days after it's done?Has anyone had a California Spray Tan before their wedding?
My sister did and regretted it. It's always going to look fake. The photographer told her later than a bright white gown against a tanned skin tone is going to make it look darker and more orange and the camera picks up things differently than in person. The most flattering look is pale and natural.Has anyone had a California Spray Tan before their wedding?
You'll only end up looking like an oopma-loompa, hon.

Get a lotion with small amounts of self-tanner in it like Jergens (I think it's called Natural Glow, or something like that), and start with that a few weeks before. Let it build slowly until your skin is how you want it, and then maintain it until your wedding. I would much rather you went this route because the color comes up slowly over a few days or weeks, and if you don't like it, you can just stop using it and it will fade.

This is definitely NOT the time to experiment with something that you've never done before in the days prior to your wedding. Not a good plan.

    :D Best of luck !!
I've done one when I was the MOH in my sister's wedding. For my own wedding I went the old fashioned route %26amp; used the tanning bed. I know, I know.

Anyways, you will not look orange or oompa loompa-ish if you go to a real place. This isn't like the at home sprays.

I highly recommend getting it done well before your wedding. Try it out before going out on the town one weekend or before your bridal shower. That way you can see how it holds up to sweating %26amp; photographs.

When you go, you'll want to wear old clothes as the spray will rub off on your clothes. (Any stains washed off of my clothes though) Don't shower until the next day to let it really set. It's definitely worth the try!
If you're going to do a spray tan I would do it far before your wedding. Maybe test it out a month before or something, so if it ends up looking bad you have enough time for it to wear off. I have known people to get them and they look great and then some just look bad. Unfortunately, I think it really depends on where you go and who is getting it done.
I'd say skip it. I actually did the spray tan as a trial a few weeks before I was in a wedding and it was not pretty. My ankles, knees and elbows all looked dirty and it was streaky in places. I wouldn't risk it for your wedding. Natural always looks better!

do you know anyone that's used them before? I'd be wary myself, someone that doesn't know what they are doing can really make a mess of a spray on tan. (a mess that takes days to wear off!) Plus do you a place you can do it without fear of staining? Plus i wonder do they require some kind of certification to do this anyway (cosmetologist)? I don't know, I'd make some inquiries!Would you use a mobile spray tan technician?

You dont want to be seen orange or streaky on your wedding day !!

Be option is to try and test.

Good luck with everything - XxxHas anyone had a California Spray Tan for their wedding day?
i would def try it out first. my experience has been that is better if you get it done by someone other than a machine, its a little embarressing because your in a little black box naked with a stranger, but they do that kind of stuff all the time. Its better because they can see where you need a little extra or if you get a smudge they can fix it. you get a tan that is made for you and not just a machine spraying aimlessly at your body. make sure you exfoliate a day before and dont use an oily scrub! and dont put on lotion.
try one beforehand! Nothing worse than it going wrong on the big day.

Have it done, see which day its at its best looking then plan when to have it done for the wedding.

go to the sun maybe like 12 in the afternoon (really hot) maybe like 2 hours or more. the swim in the swimming pool. . . . :P :))
try a tanning bed first..the spray is pointless if you want it for the whole summer because it evenually starts washing off. and you may start lookinng blochy orange
just get tanning lotion and spread it on evenly. then you look tanner but you won't get skin cancer when you're older.
    dont do it to urself

your just going to turn orange hun
tans aren't hot. tho you might want to try going out into the sun maybe?

I want to get a spray tan but I don't want it to turn out orange?

I am really pale and for the summer I want to get a spray tan. Should I just telling the people at the salon or whatever that I just dont want it to turn out orange? Will they be honest about that? How does choosing the colour of skin you want work?I want to get a spray tan but I don't want it to turn out orange?
I don't think you should even go to the salon for a spray tan because at Victoria's Secret, there is this AMAZING spray on tan for like $18, and it looks completely natural, and it doesn't turn you orange.I want to get a spray tan but I don't want it to turn out orange?
Yes the people at the tanning place can answer all your questions, i think u should spray tan once! and then lay in a tanning bed with tanning lotion!!

Can i get my eyebrows after getting a spray tan if i wait a day?

i was going to get them waxed right after but figured i'd wait.. should i be ok to get them waxed the next day?Can i get my eyebrows after getting a spray tan if i wait a day?
I don't see any reason it would be a problem. Even if it did take some of the color off of you, it wouldn't be that noticable.

Can you get Laser Hair Removal after a spray tan?

I understand that it is often difficult to do Laser Hair Removal on tanned skin in case of burns. I haven't been able to go tanning in a long time, and I am quite pale. I was thinking of getting a spray tan, but I am worried that it will affect my next Laser treatment. Advice? Can you get Laser Hair Removal after a spray tan?
    NO!

    Okay... science answer:

You grow in at least 80% of your hair during puberty. When you have laser hair removal the hairs it kills will never grow again. But you still have up to 20% of your normal thickness that will grow in throughout the rest of your life. So people get touch up sessions every 3-5 years after their big 6 treatments. You need about 6 treatments, one each 2 months for a year, because the hair grows in different stages and it can only kill hair in the active growth stage. The laser works by targeting dark color (the hair follicle) and passing through light color (the skin) the hair and skin have to be very different shades of color for the hair to work. The darker and coarser the hair and lighter the skin, the better results you will have.

    Okay... Personal Experience:

I've had 2 out of my 6 treatments so far. It HURTS! It's like being poked with a sewing needle over and over, but it's not as painful as a tattoo, and that's not as painful as childbirth, maybe that can put the pain in perspective for you =) I've had my legs, underarms, and bikini area done. When you get your bikini area done they do ALL of it! Including spreading your butt and vaginal lips apart to laser all the cracks... It's sorta awkward. After the 2 treatments I've had so far I've lost about 60% of leg hair, 40% bikini hair, and 25% underarms hair. It's because the underarms hair is the thinnest and the leg hair is the coarsest. But the legs are the most painful. The more it hurts the better it works.

I spent this much for 6 treatments in each area:

    Bikini-$750

    Underarms-$750

    Legs (toes to bikini)-$2,500

    sun bed ?

and where in basildon can you get this done, perhaps a website link or a number :)How old do you have to be for spray tan?
i have to agree spray tans do leave you orange. i know, i have done it many times...i tried going to a tanning salon and failed! I tried a self tanning spray, which left me looking like an umpa lumpa from the willy wonka movie. my best investment so far has been the Jergens natural glow express Body Moisturizer. this is a lotion you can apply daily. you keep applying until you reach the desired tan you want. it last and is a lot faster than tanning beds because it takes about 8 visits to the bed to start to see the tan. plus the lotion helps if u have un even tans. that way u only apply to the necessary areas. How old do you have to be for spray tan?
you can buy jergans natural glow at cvs or target. im 13 and i use it :P it works really good. good luck

Spray tans are for all ages, but law requires you to be 16 to tan in a tanning bed.
Not an age limit I do not believe. They make you look orange, though. But if your cool with the orange look, then fine lol
spray tans are good depending on who does it for you

Can you go swimming in a lake when you get a spray tan?

I have a free spray tan and its called UV free sunless tanning booth by mystic tan and I'm wondering if i can go in a lake because i usually go swimming. Can you go swimming in a lake when you get a spray tan?
You can go swimming after you spray tan, just wait a few hours. Most bottles say a recommended time before showering and swimming.

I mean, Ive spray tanned before and it usually stays on until I shower a few times. And Im assuming while youre swimming youre not scrubbing and using body wash or anything...So go for it! lol

Can you build on a Mystic Spray tan with a regular self tanner?

I just got a Mystic tan last night and I love it! Just wondering if I use at home self tanner if I can build on the color or will it just look streaky.

thanks! Can you build on a Mystic Spray tan with a regular self tanner?
Where I get my Mystics done - they actually sell an extender kit - it comes with the lotion in a spray and moisturizer and stuff to help extend your tan. The girls at the tanning place told me to use the spray if any spots got missed during the Mystic, use the extender during the day - and then before I get my next Mystic - use the exfoliater. I'm SUPER pale and things tend to look orange on me - but I've never had a problem with this. (I found it online here: http://www.beautybay.com/cosmetics/calif鈥?/a> - if you tan at Darque Tan (www.darquetan.com) they sell it there. (I don't actually tan, only the spray kind, but that's where I go).Can you build on a Mystic Spray tan with a regular self tanner?
Absolutely, that's how I make my Mystics last 2 weeks
i think it will look a little streaky...but not too bad....

Say i got a spray tan and then went swimming or laid out you know, would my skin still take to the sun?

Im mostly european (german and dutch) and i think that has a lot to do with it being hard to tan,im really pale and its hard for my skin to tan,i burn easily im not a redhead either,im brunette. Thanks for any help.Say i got a spray tan and then went swimming or laid out you know, would my skin still take to the sun?
A spray tan gives no protection against sun burn or the other damaging effects of the sun. Wear sun screen.Say i got a spray tan and then went swimming or laid out you know, would my skin still take to the sun?
spray tans do not interfere with tanning by the sun

and i dunno about the whole german thing im german but tan very easily

A question about that spray tan you do yourself?

It says on the can ';do not use on face'; or something

Does anyone do it on their face anyway?

Is there anything to make sure it goes ok on my face?

Does anyone use anything else to tan their faces seperately?A question about that spray tan you do yourself?
IF IT SAYS ON THE CAN '; DO NOT USE ON FACE '; THAN DONT USE IT ON YOUR FACE.

YOUR FACE IS MORE SENSETIVE SO BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU PUT ON YOUR FACE. YOU MIGHT GET AN ALERGIC REACTION.A question about that spray tan you do yourself?
    Ok

well no its not good for your face

because somtimes it can be blochy

but i would recoment like a tan concealer

if you want your face to look darker

Its just a little dangerous to do the self spray tans

    on your face

unless you get it done perfessionally
I always put it on my face and it works fine for me.

If you are worried, try a small patch test behind your ear or something and then you will know if you are ok with it x
Mix it 10 parts moisturiser for 1 part fake tan. It should be ok to use on you face then and will look natural but still glowing. :)
I just put it on my face anyways, it kinda burns though..
