I thinking about getting one i have a wedding to go to in 3 weeks and i was wondering should i get it done. I never have before but my aunt does and she likes it. So should i get one????Has anyone ever gone to a tanner and got a spray tan in the spray booth?
yes, I did it before a trip to Mexico. I am very, very fair. I just should have gone sooner, I only had time for one treatment, and it only gave me faint color. If I were to do it again, I would go at least 3 times. They give you a lotion to put on your feet and hands because they take the color a lot more, and this blocks the color from being too intense. Also wear a shower cap, which my salon provided.Has anyone ever gone to a tanner and got a spray tan in the spray booth?
I would highly HIGHLY suggest spray tans. I have only tried one particular kind (as I know there are several out there) which is the California Tan sunless tan. I have done it countless times and have never been disappointed. Unlike some sunless tanning booths, it gradually gets darker.
I would suggest getting it in the evening, because it does tend to get fairly dark before you are able to shower, sometimes looking unnaturally dark. Wear loose, dark clothing to the tanning salon, and if possible flip flops or something where you do not have to wear socks (because if your feet sweat, you may find your feet end up lighter than the rest of you). Also, do not plan on doing any activity that will be causing you to sweat until you have had your shower, and when washing your hands, attempt to keep the tops of your hands dry.
After you shower, if you notice that a particular spot is to dark (this has happened to my knuckles and the tops of my feet) then mosturizing typically helps. If there is a spot that is particularly light, I know that CalTan has individual touch-up bottles that you can purchase, but typically, if this happens they will help you out if you go back to the salon.
Other than that, its just the obvious: make sure that you are shaved, and try to exfoliate beforehand, it will even your skin out, as the more dry spots have a tendency to get a little bit darker.
If you are worried, make sure you ask! Its a very easy process, but can be intimidating on the first try. If you think you look too dark originally... wait it out! it will look better after a shower!!!
Sorry for the length of my answer, for more details on the caltan sunless spray:

id try it before the wedding like soon bc if you dont like it you can get all the splotchy spots off of you by then. My friend and I went and had the same spray done and mine came out fine it looked normal and even everywhere. She wasnt as lucky. It was uneven and some spots looked orange eww...Id say try it and if you dont like it start the tanning bed thing till you go. I personally loved mine!... : ) good luck...
i did right before prom.... it looked amazing in the pictures. I think it looked better in the pictures than real life though. When you have it a while it washed away a little patchy, and also when you would sweat. It is a quick, fairly inexpensive way to have an amazing tan for pictures.
When I did it, it had a weird smell though, and you can't get wet for I think 4 hours so be prepared for that.
yes i did...it came out great. my only problem was that im claustrophobic, so that small spray booth was not that great for me. i would reccomend going about 3 or 4 days before the wedding!
Try it about 3 days before the wedding. It鈥檚 safer than a tanning bed. I do it, and I love it. It makes me look thinner.
