How long does a spray tan last for and is it any good?

Around a week. No, they do not use Iodine!!! (Someone needs to get reading up). They use DHA - that is both creams and sprays - its all the same stuff. Get one pro applied to avoid mistakes and getting streaks.

You shouldn't get a sweat or go swimming for a day. After that, it will not just wash off - you actual skin has changed colour. See a vid at http://www.tropical-sunrise.com/ and images at http://www.tropical-sunrise.com/spray-ta…

Proper spray tans are not orange. Have a lighter one at this time of the year and feel great.

i tried the spray on tan once and its not that great. It went well for my upper body but it made my legs really blotchy. I wouldnt try it. Good luck! How long does a spray tan last for and is it any good?
Hiya

Depends on who applies it really and the 'brand name' of the tan. Ive tried cheaper ones and they tend to look orange on me. Ive paid more for St Tropez and Fake Bake and they were both superb. Both lasted a good 5 days and looked natural. I ask for once over my face and twice on my body as I do seem to look 'tangoed' on my face otherwise. Stops me feeling all pale on the beach etc and by the time it has faded you can have a nice base tan anyway but they dont have any SPF so you could still burn so if you are going away you still need sun cream.
If you sweat a lot or swim alot it wont last but 2 days. Normally about 1-2 weeks. I think they are good, but I only do them for events.
It depends on the spray tan that you use. And I've noticed that the colour varies depending on your skin type. Anyway, most of them last up to 5-7 days, the one I use is Loreal Nutrisummer Mist spray, and for my face I use Ambre Solaire Face Mist. But, if I get it done professionally for a special occassion I get California Tan, which can last for two weeks if looked after properly i.e. moisturising.

People criticising fake tan and saying get a REAL one are stupid, not everyone can tan naturally like me, and I don't fancy getting wrinkles from lying in the sun for too long, even if you do put good sun screen on it doesn't stop the process of wrinkles.

I would suggest getting a cream tan instead though because they last longer, but spray tan for me is easier to apply. Not all fake tans turn out orange, mine don't turn out orange at all, but personally I'd rather be orange than pale, that sounds stupid but that's the way I feel. I HATE being pale.
About a week, if you get a good one. Get the spray tan a day before your event (if you have one) and where loose clothing when you go to the salon. Do it yourself? Those dont really work... Find out more information in the Teen Vogue Prom Issue.
if you go to a salon and get the mystic tan it is pretty good-it can last up to 2 weeks
use shoe polish
I don't understand why you have to be tan in the winter time to look good. Stick with your natural skin color. What is wrong with that?
Considering that it is winter... I would definately not do the spray tan. I was just reading an article in Cosmo and according to them it is a major fashion don't! They make lotions that have a hint of self tanner in them that don't turn you orange, and just gives you a natural glow. It is winter, and unless you live near Florida, you are going to look really fake.

To answer the rest of your question, they last anywear between 3-7 days.
Hey Hunny_X

It Lasts About A Month I Get One Done Weekly As I Love Fake Tan_X

You Should Get One Done Boy =]
they last for 10 years
Spray tans are disgusting. You will probably end up looking like a carrot. If you HAVE to tan, I would do it the natural way. Although that's not always an option at this time of year.

Use sunscreen!
Don't do it. You'll look orange. Don't run the risk of being called an ';Oompa Loompa!';
no good.

Just use pam cooking spray and sit in the self tanner for 30 minutes. rotate every five.
I own a tanning shop... It really depends on how well it was sprayed on, how much you bathe, and what brand you go for. They all tend to last about 3 days though if you like to keep yourself clean and actually take showers, longer if you go without. And I personally prefer using sunbeds (stand ups) with accelorator cream as fake tan does just look orange and really awful.
About a month...maybe a bit more...

But no, it's no good. Your skin will turn out orange and it won't look natural, especially if you spray incorrectly and it's not even. You'll have like splotches of orange tan. You're better off using suntan lotion and laying outside for a long time.
IDK how long it lasts but no they look cheezy and you cant do anything for like a whole day after you get one...

they stink
Spray tans last a few days but can come out uneven and orange looking. Check the ingredients. I never have but a friend said the coloring agent is iodine.... which would account for the orange color. I wouldn't bother trying it.
well it only lasts for a day and it isn't really good at all
If you are talking about the professional spray tan, that last about one week and looks natural. Although, it cost about $40 to$50 a week depending on where you live. They do work. Most of the stars do that.
Till the can runs out

and no
i did mine ( i got a base tan for a week first though, which makes it last longer because your skin is more acceptable to the color) and it starts out like you dont have a tan then gradually gets darker so do it a couple days ahead of time if you have some specific reason you're doing this. ok but back to your question. It really depends on how much you shower. they can last from 1-2 days to about a week before it completely fades.
