I was planning on putting a liquid band-aid around the hole anyways. Is it okay to get a spray tan 3-4 weeks after getting your bellybutton pierced?
NO WAY!!!!!!
you should be keeping that area 100% free of any potential irritants. a bellybutton ring should be kept in for at least 2-3 months, as this is the time required for it to heal (for some people, it takes up to 6 months or a year! it just depends on you and how your body works, really). some piercers say sooner, but thats typically because people don't like to hear the truth that it takes a longggggg time for it to heal, and nobody has ever died from a bellybutton ring (if they change it to early or go spray tanning, for example, and it becomes infected, most people will simply take it out).
as someone who has been piercing for the last 8 years, i can tell you from personal and professional experience that in no way should you jeapordize your health or comfort by spray tanning this early on while your body is trying to heal itself. Is it okay to get a spray tan 3-4 weeks after getting your bellybutton pierced?
It may be risky... but it is still a new and fresh piercing. My piercer told me I could change my piercing around 6 weeks and it was still too fresh and new. I should've waited a lot longer like a month or so. Navel piercings take up to 3 months to a year to fully heal so be very careful. After only have it for 3-4 weeks, and you want to get this chemical liquid sprayed all over you? What do you think is the right thing to do? Is getting a fake tan more important than caring for a fresh ';wound'; on your body? Think twice!
oh yeah perfectly fine!
